To anyone who experienced problems with the Catalog Xpress installation file in the last couple weeks:

We've finished our testing of Cat XP on Windows XP and Vista, and we will be uploading the fixed installation file tomorrow (ie. Thursday) morning.  The software has been tested by an independent group and we did additional testing here and believe we have tested all the likely scenarios that users would encounter. All tests passed QA (Quality Assurance). Testing was solely on installation and activation of the product. Our Support Team was able to reach one customer who had the error with the previous version and installing the latest worked for her.

Users who installed the previous bad version on a fresh machine will still not get the 30-day trial version after installing the fixed version.  Unfortunately, that is not something that we could reverse.  The fix for this if you encounter this problem is to use the following serial number:

CZ-TRIAL-BN876-AD445

This serial number will allow anyone who installs it to run the software for 30 days.  There is a limited number of activations (we can't allow everyone to try it free forever!) on this serial number but our Support team can add more if it becomes necessary.

We will of course disable this serial number after a given amount of time; otherwise, once a 30-day trial expires users would be able to use the same key again and again to re-activate for an additional 30 days. We feel that this will give everyone who has experienced difficulties a good chance to have a good trial of the software.

So, as of noon EST on Thursday, August 14, there will be a new install file (compatible with Windows Vista 64-bit) on the Catalog Xpress page. You can download the new installation file by clicking on the 'Download Information' link. If you experience any difficulties, please contact our support team as usual at support@annthegran.com and they'll be happy to help you out.

We apologize again for any inconvenience caused by our putting up an installation file that had not been tested thoroughly enough.
