    OK Pat,

Question: How do you change the avatar once there is one in there? I have tried everything I know how with no luck and do not know where to go to change where is says about the enable or disable remote avatars. Mine says disabled, now how do you change it once it is set? I tried to enable it and it won't take it.Big Smile

All right, Judy.  How did you get your avatar changed?  I tried to change mine also and it browsed and appeared to be uploading and everything, but didn't change.

None of you is doing anything wrong. We are having an issue with users changing avatars (I can't get it to work either). Our developers are looking into it and we hope to have it fixed shortly.

    Re: avatar

    BB,

Apparently the Avatar changer is suffering my malady....old age.  It didn't change when I was on the site earlier, but now that I've left and come back, I see that my new one is up....go figure.   I didn't know computers suffered mental lapses (HA!).

To all, I changed my avatar to the black dog.  She was Mom's and has now adopted me since Mom went to the nursing home.  Her name is Tiptoe.  I decided I'd mourned my shepherd long enough.

    Re: avatar

Good Morning linda!  (It is morning here in San Diego!

I sure do understand about adopting a dog in this manner.  Mom had a cute little "Benji" sort of dog and I got the honor of her presence when Mom went into a home where Mom found lots of new friends.  "Dallas" (yes, Dallas) was a big hit because I would bath her and take her to the home and sneak her into the "Activities Center" where Dallas was Queen of the Universe.  She made so many people smile and learned how to stay on a leash while working her way around wheel chairs and walkers.  Dallas was a very smart friend to all.

Both are now gone, but they bring me smiles when I think of them. Together or apart, Mom and Dallas were quite a pair!

    Linda,

Sounds like you have a new trusted friend! Good for you,yes it is time to move on,not saying to forget, but time to let all that love you have put into a new friend for life! There surely do have a way of working themselves into our lives! I don't know what I would do without my two buddies. the love is simply unconditional.

Good luck with your new friend, and welcome tiptoe!Big Smile

Our web team has informed me that the only case we've found that is not working is for the users that have multiple user names with duplicated email addresses. For now please try once again to upload an avatar to an account that has a unique email address. We are still looking into the problem and hope to have it resolved shortly.

I am loving the new avatars I am seeing, so give it a try, you may be able to have the most interesting avatar on the Internet!

    Re: avatar

You are blessed to be able to spend some more time with her.  I remember when my mother's mission on this earth was complete, I knew it was time and she had lived joyously and honorably.  I miss her very much but always remember that I had her for over 60 years.  So many of my friends lost their mothers so much earlier, so we were fortunate to have so much time.

Hold her dearly whether in your arms or heart, she knows she is loved.

Thank you Pat for those kind words. I just got back from Houston, I feel like I have huged her for the last time. I believe the next time I go to Houston will be our finaly goodbys on this earth. God has blessed her with 87.5 years and me with 71, so she and I sort of grew up together. Just keep us in your thoughts and I really appreciate you.

I see that the avatar is fixed also.
